Helicopter transfer to Cavallo Island:
The Secret Gem

Cavallo is the only inhabited island of the archipelago, just 2 Km the Corsican coast and close to the Strait of Bonifacio. It is a 4 hours long journey by car and boat from Olbia, while it takes 19min only by our private helicopter charters.
Cavallo has a long history, beginning during the Roman Empire when prisoners were sent there to cut granite for monuments. It was abandoned during Augustus’s reign and rediscovered in the 1800s only, when a shepherd lived there with sheep and goats.
The deep sea surrounding Cavallo island hid dangerous snares, once feared by sailors. In an 1855 stormy night, the French frigate Semillante was on route to Crimea transporting soldiers: it sank nearby Cavallo and all 693 on board were lost at the sea.
Nowadays Cavallo is a pure gem in the Mediterranean: the only inhabited and the most exclusive island. Ten years ago, a small marina was built, surrounded by a small village and few apartments. There is no mass tourism on the island: only villa owners and guest of the Hotel Des Pecheurs. It is truly a world apart, where guest can getaway on one of the most beautiful islands of the word, at just 19 minutes flight time from Olbia
