Maintenance
No helicopter is so tolerant of neglect that it is safe in the absence of an effective inspection and maintenance program. The processes that affect a helicopter are deterioration with age (e.g.fatigue, wear and corrosion) as well as chance failures. Helicopter maintenance is intended to keep the aircraft in a state which will or has enabled a certificate of release to service to be issued. At Elicompany we fully enforce actions required for restoring or maintaining helicopters in a serviceable condition including servicing, repair, modification, overhaul, inspection, and determination of condition.
Safety
A Safety Management System (SMS) is a systematic approach to managing safety, including the necessary organizational structures, accountabilities, policies, and procedures. The objective of our Safety Management System is to provide a structured management approach to control safety risks in operations. Effective safety management must consider the organization’s specific structures and processes related to safety of operations. As safety is our primary consideration, Elicompany will take a conservative approach and restrict or cancel flight operations in inclement or marginal weather. Weather conditions associated with poor visibility, low cloud, extreme winds, lowlight levels and thunderstorms present circumstances that may limit or restrict flights. We carefully select and train our Pilots; before operating a VIP passenger flight they always accumulate thousands of flight hours on patrol and surveillance flights. Most of our Pilots on the VIP flights are certified Instructors with over 9.000 hours experience.
